Hey Guys,

I guess this is where I'm going to put my suff from now on as most of my stuff if is fantasy Warhammer

I really like the skin on the first orc, It's really easy and fast to do, the second orc is more tedious and can look a little cartoony if it's overdone.

The space marine is my second attempt at a 40k fig and it only took me 2 hours, it didn'y invest a lot of time into it as it was a test peice for the home made flock and the lenses in the marines helmet. the fourth set of pics are of the orc that I had posted earlier but I just cleaned it up a bit

I show these figs in my you tube vid 5 & 6

Gotta love those fantasy Space Marines! Woot!

Armies of the Empire and the Skaven were in a furious battle to the death, when all of a sudden, something began running through the field; a Space Marine!

"Sorry! Wrong time period!" shouted the Space Marine as he darted off into the dawn; the Skaven and Empire forces standing there, blank looks on all of their faces.

Goodbye, Space Marine. We'll catch you, in 40,000...

Holy Cow... talk about getting slammed lol
Working on a new tribe of headless Orcs, GW calls them Stump battle Orcs, Good looking figs but they're worthless on the battle field as they can't see $h!t

Space marine warped through a worm hole and ended up in the Fantasy universe

Very funny guys... my vid kind of explains the Space marine

yeah if you could get some lighting on the other side it might eliminate the shadow but who cares the model pulls your attention so much because it's just so good. I think your getting the hang of the camera

Thanks Sunbreath,

I see that I do need to get some light on the other side, I might have to pick up another cheapie light.

The model itself is still a WIP as there is still some work that has to be done I.E attach the spears and crossbow that go on his back, some bits that you really can't see in these pics need to be painted. After looking at these pics I think I need to lighten up the leather on the arms a bit and add another layer of highlighting on the whole model. Finally I need to dress up the base a bit, nothing too fancy, just your basic sand/gravel with a tuft of static grass or two and maybe a small rock to break it up a bit

I can't seem to get rid of the glossy look, although the GW matt varnish brought it down slightly, it's not anywhere near to the finish that I'm looking for (The GW brush on matt varnish isn't a good product, it doesn't do what it's supposed to, save your money and look for a better product, I hear that Testors Dull Coat is supposed be real good)

Viewing the snapshots gives a different perspective and allows me to better analyze the model and where it needs work, I also read that looking at your model in a mirror does the same thing, so if your picky or just want to make your HQ's extra special, try these these two techniques of reviewing your model.

One thing about viewing snapshots and self critism, be reasonable, don't blow the picture of your model up 50x the original size and beat yourself up about details that you can't see under normal conditions, if I were to blow up my pictures that much and self critique them I would give this hobby up. Remember, you are your own worst critic, you should paint the way you want to, to your standards and no one elses (unless you're entering a competition or doing commissions). The most important thing here is to have fun, if you're not having fun then you might as well quit.

Vampire ghouls
SM Librarian
Some more orcs
Be'Lakor the dark master
Dire Troll
More Hero Quest Figs
Orc Warboss on a Boar (if I ever get the cash for it)

There's alot I would like to do but my painting is in Limbo at the moment until I settle into the new place (which should be about a month)

Check ou my youtube for a few tuts and vids of the models I think if you look through them I show the finished Ogre
