Hey, I'm going to throw some of my thoughts here. I've done it on Advanced Tau Tactica and...well...some of those guys are nuts. Look, its just a game and this is fluff to the game. If its not specifically mentioned in the book...its ok with me. I like the cultural aspect of the race and.....I'm damn sure the Eldar made them!!!

My first question? Can you find a way that the Tau and Eldar would ever fight? I'm not saying Dark Eldar or the Farsight Onclave.... I just don't see them ever coming to blows over something.

well what if the tau expanded onto an eldar maiden world? The eldar sure as hell would be ticked and try to stop the glory of the tau!! I mean you don't always need fluff. Some of the guys at ATT are completely ingrained in it. I mean i like the site but some of them are just dicks when they say ITS NOT FLUFF WORTHY!!! oh well. I play my brothers eldar all the time. I don't care if it's "likely or not"

Yea, I'm not a big fan of ATT myself. Your idea sounds like a great thought, all I know are Craft words and I just didn't see that happening. What's a Maiden world?

Why do you say that?

because the eldar favor magic also they like to pride them selves for being superior to just about every other race in the galaxy. they may use the Tau as meat sheilds for their magic trickery from time to time but mostly the Tau are never truely aware of this.

BTW a Maiden world is a world terraformed by the eldar before the fall and they consider it a "right" to own it. Most maiden worlds are in the imperium but hey one might be near the tau.
There is also the exodite worlds but those are to far out from the tau empire.

Ok, my next question. If the Tau have anti-gravity why do their suits and tanks have rockets?

where did the eartherals come from then, oblisilly. the eldar cloned them and made a new race to destracte the other races. while the eldar do what they want ,they migt have wanted just to stop the orks or stop the imperium expanding onto some thing. the tau probilly haven't even seen the eldar or have been brain washed to not see them and if they have no phyicic power they might have been made to stop chaos.

there is a really good story called rise of tau. it's a good read. although not true it brings the canon fluff together to make it work.

wow being a eldar guy i like the idea of tau being created by the eldar hell of an idea. i cant figure out if eldar was around when humans were still single celled organisms how the heck could the humans ever catch up or surpass them tech wise. ok i get chaos knocking them on their butts but come on i just dont see humans being a threat or tau for that matter cause wasnt the tau like tribal gys in huts not too long ago how did they get this tech stuff so fast??? just random thoughts
