The Daemons of Arkana were some of the first Daemons to manifest from man's cruel ways.
In the old times a group of druids began to study up ancient lore on
beasts of horror. With time they became obsessed and created alters and spellbooks for incantations to summon them. Years of testing and studying eventually led to the structure of Arkana.
Years after the village was finally complete, a few druids got together at the Alter to try a new incantation that they had brewed. So the druids began to chant as the book that once laid in front of their feet was now floating and an aura began illuminating the text.
The text then floated off the torn withered pages and created what we now know as "the icon of chaos". It formed this icon and implanted itself into the wall. The icon then grew dull and the druids were mezmerized at what just happened but also confused. So in desperation to bring forth these beasts they continued the spell but even louder and with more concentration! Within seconds the wall imploded into a swirling circle of colors and screams! The screams made everything within miles cover their ears in pain and before they knew it a gore colored leg sprung out of the vortex. Not too long after an entire body stood before them. This creature stood 30 feet tall with a wing span of 50 feet! He snarled and moved his beast-like head straight into the faces of these shivering druids. He could sense they wanted to control him and his hordes of chaos. So with one ear piercing roar and a mighty gust of his words he said, "NO!" The druids flew back from the bellow of this gargantuin beast. After breaking free of the puny grips of these humans he snarled in a mocking manner, "PUNY MORTALS THINK THEY CAN WITHHOLD ME?? BAAL?? A GENERAL IN LORD KHORNES BOUNTIFUL LEGION?? YOU CHOSE WRONG!" and with that said he let out a roar that shook the world and let his horde know it was time for blood. So as he roared this deathly roar Khornes finest daemonic death-bidders came forth from the vortex. Dozens upon dozens of them sprang forth standing 8 feet tall. They all snarled and had a look in their eye that would make even a god tremble. The bloodthirst was set and so was the fate of the world.
These beasts painted the forest of Arkana with the blood of the villagers who inhabited it. It was a massacre like no other. They flew from one terrorized foe to the next with ease and lust for the very thing that kept the enemy alive.
As these ferocious monstrosities roamed the woods, 3 druids began chanting a spell, hoping to take back their brothers doings. Baal heard these words and immidiatly let out a bull like grunt and pointed at his hordes new target.
"GO FORTH AND TAKE FROM THEM THEIR SKULLS!"
The daemons charged at the 3 druids at unsightly speeds! The druids chanted faster and faster until suddenly...the vortex grew and grew until it was at least 200 feet in diameter! the daemons covered their eyes as the beams of light began to pull the manifested beasts from reality.
In seconds the Daemons were incaged in the Alter that brought them forth. They were not in the Warp nor were they in reality. They were trapped in stone.
The druids then placed purity seals to quickly lock the daemons inside.
The druids looked at their village, or what was left of it at least. All of their people died. Women, children, elderly. All died but 3 unsuspecting druids of man.
The power of Chaos was now known by the world and they hoped never to see it again.
In the far future..
It is now the year 40,000 and a group of Blood Angels pass by Arkana. But none knew this was Arkana, for its location was lost centuries ago through history. The Blood Angels then decided to take a short cut through the woods.
As they passed tree to tree they came across a peculiar stone structure. Now covered in moss, leaves and fallen limbs, it was hard to tell what stood before them.
As they brushed off the stone structure one of the marines saw the scrolls forged onto walls in front of them.
He began to read them:
"Arka'nah rang-ke Sh'laka'rar oogn ke sen Nh'lee"
The ground shook and light blinded the marines and noise deafened them. When the marines uncovered their eyes...the forgotten children of Khorne stood before them with 40,000 years of anger and bloodlust built inside them. With haste the daemons ate the humans. Not killed, completly devoured the marines whole.
The beasts are unleashed and ready to kill, slaughter, and spue the guts of all the world. They are the forgotten children of chaos..they are...THE HORDES OF BAAL!!
