::first, if I had to pick a gazebo, it would be the first in game gazebo I ever ran into...Zork II: The Wizard of Frobozz. And the round room...curses::

Thinking about hoofing it 150 miles is not an appealing idea for me. I look around the interior of the shuttle, hoping to find some sort of emergency pack, or a piece of metal that I can tear off to begin digging this thing out. As much as I'd love nothing more than to get on my way, I still do everything with one eye on the surroundings...as previous training would have taught me...so as not be caught off-guard should someone, or something, decide to take a peek. As night begins to settle, if it takes that long, I will hold up in the shuttle, locking the doors. Again, more of a reflex from years of survival training than anything.

Well...in that case, I'll gather the essential equipment, weapons, armor, ammo, etc., and lock down the shuttle. If there are any emergency systems, something like a car alarm, that kicks on exterior lighting when attempted entry. (it's the future...gotta try anything, right?) I go out of the shuttle, making sure that entry would be really bad. I'm going to do the whole.."I dare you to sneak up on me" thing. I'll run out to the edge of the wooded area, and go up a tree. I'll grab some branches on the way, and go for cover and concealment. Hiding up there, it'll be like the ol' bounty hunting days. I wait. If it's a humanoid...well...I'll wait for you to tell me what's coming to make any decisions here.

Well, I'll let him live, but I have a renewed need to get this shuttle outta here before the locals come to stab it with pitchforks. If I can get the thing out, I'd like to move it to another location. This gives me a good idea that either they are freaking out, and are really yocals, or they're freaking out because they know what is supposed to be on this shuttle. Either way, I'll find out soon enough.

So..if I can get it out, and move it a few miles away from it's current location, that would be awesome...if not, then I'll lock 'er up nice and tight, and follow their path back towards the settlement. On the way, weapons will be ready, in hand, but not in a threatening way. So, shotgun out and over the shoulder, sword loosened on the belt, laspistol unsnapped for quick draw, brass knuckles on.

::sorry for the late response, had some family down over the weekend, and went to the beach with family and baby. Likin' it so far chief, lookin' forward for more. And, more vids of course. heh::

Well, since the little voice in my head has started talking, I'm going to take the opportunity to read the file that's in the backpack, and look for any other realted material. After sufficient reading and trying to remember what the hell I'm doing here, I'll gather my gear, lock down the ship, and step out. I'll try to cover the top with large branches, just in case another flyer of some sort passes by, I don't need this to be found easily. I'll start the hike to that small settlement nearby, where the tourists came from before. Same travel precautions as before; shotgun out, rested on shoulder, pistol loosened and ready.

Also, dead guy's starting to get old, so he's gotta go. I'll carry him for about a mile, remove any identifying symbols or items, and dump him behind some rocks and throw branches and stuff on him, then continue toward the settlement.

Well, I'm guessing I'll take a walk on the wild side...I'll head for the small town, just to gather some intel, maybe rest in a bed, gather strength, that sort of thing. The main questions I'm going to ask are simple..if they're friendlies; Intel on the area, food, bed, re-supply myself. Ask about the planet, and this guy...on the sly though, not outright. I'll rest up in the shuttle a bit, and start heading over that way, staying off of the beaten path, as it were, so as not to be spotted by any curious ass-hats coming to the crash site. I want to control the ground of any engagement; years of training and practice would have told me that.

Well..that'll about do it until I get to the town...or at least the area around it for more recon before entering the settled area.
