this is where I'll be posting some of my conversions and parts swaps etc, somewhat along the line of fonejacker's thread.

The first thing I'm going to show in this thread is a backpack design I came up with a while ago after determining that I don't really like the standard marine backpacks. This is purely an aesthetic conversion. It has no fluff of practical use other than I think it looks cool.

materials:
-hobby knife
-super glue
-cadian vox backpack

-standard space marine backpack



step one:
remove the comms gubbins form the vox backpack.


step two:
remove the side "ball" vents form the standard marine backpack.


step three:
glue the "ball" vents onto the vox backpack as shown.



You have to chop the nub off the back of the marine torso to get the pack to sit flush. After that, that is pretty much it. For my sergeants and combat squad "leaders" I leave the long straight antenna as a sort of "whip" antenna.

well it seems i have a rival ( cheers always nice to have some good competition)

nice conversion, might us it to get my iron halo.

really cool, though I don't no why you took the Ariel off to glue back in the same place :S but I suppose that is the mystery of your conversion magic Wink heee heee very nice!
