Hello guys!

I am looking to get into warhammer again (I used to collect a bit many years ago) mainly in a painting way, at first at least. I am most likely to start with Orcs and Goblins, then I am not so sure. I am a student and therefore on tight buget so am unsure what to buy to get started.

I was thinking of buying the battle of skull pass hobby set with 100 miniatures, giving me lots of goblins and some dwarfs to try at some point. I have been advised to buy the foundation set, but this seems a bit extreme as I don't think I will even use half of them.

Basically I would like any of your purchasing tips for n00bs, thanks.

Hmm... Sorry I can't help with the collection but Stumpy thumper is a collector of Orcs & Goblins, maybe he can help you out.

As for the paints, I would recommend the foundation paints however if you find the whole set too expensive try purchasing each pot separatly as you need them. It'll be more expensive in the long run if you end up getting all of them but less of a hit if you only find that you need a few colours

i agree with thumper on the purchase of paints. As to orcs and goblins well if you want a gaming aspect battle for skull pass isn't a bad idea and you can split the dwarfs with a friend and you can play eachother. I've not really played warhmmer fantasy so i couldn't help you much but i'm sure others will be able to

Replace wand with wang in Harry Potter and now you know J.K. Rowling has a sick mind.
